You tell me how you work, what is missing and what you would like to improve. We agree on goals and priorities, so the project starts from a clear need.
You see it before I build it
You get a preview you can navigate: try the steps and see how it will work. We discuss what feels right and agree on changes before development.
I build with the doors open
You follow the project on a private link, one version at a time. You can ask questions and share feedback as it takes shape. Before launch, we check together that everything works.
I hand you the keys
You receive the product, account access and a video tutorial to revisit when you need it. I walk you through how to manage it and we agree on support after launch.

How much does it cost?
It depends on what the project needs to do. After a first chat, we define the features and I prepare a clear quote. If new requests come up during the work, we discuss them together.
How long does it take?
We work that out once the project is defined: features, content and your priorities all matter. If you have a deadline, tell me early so we can plan around it.
Will I be able to update it myself?
Yes, and that is rather the point. You get a simple panel and a recorded video covering the things you will actually use. If you would rather not touch it, I handle it.
Do you work on projects that already exist?
Yes. If you have a website or tool to improve, I look at how it is built and what you need. Then I tell you whether it makes sense to work on what is there or start again.
What happens after it goes live?
We stay in touch. Using it may bring up adjustments or new ideas: we agree on how to handle support, maintenance and the features you want to add.
Do you work remotely?
Yes, and it works well: we talk when it is useful and you follow the work live anyway. And if you are around my area, somewhere between Nettuno, Latina and Rome, I am happy to meet for a coffee for the first chat.
A little about me
I'm Umberto Ottaviani, developer and designer. I like understanding how people work and shaping tools they can use every day. That is why I design the interface and build it too.
I work with businesses, professionals and teams. We start with a conversation, try an early version and keep talking as the project grows. I want the decisions to be clear to people who do not work with technology too.
Design is how it looks, code is how it works. To me they're the same thing: there's no real beauty in a product that doesn't work flawlessly.
